Systems Thinking About Our World

Learn how to energize people to take meaningful action in leading themselves & their organization towards a sustainable future

Is successful business really worth it if it comes at the expense of an impoverished world for future generations? Our society is in dire need of a new kind of leadership, and organizations across Canada and the globe are rising to meet the challenges through corporate social responsibility initiatives (CSR).

Originally developed for the World Wildlife Federation’s Young Leaders program, this motivational workshop is unlike any other you may have experienced. In a few short hours participants will develop a deep appreciation of the complex links between diverse global issues such as population, wealth, consumption, pollution, climate change, natural resources, the regulatory environment, extinction and habitat loss, and even warfare. This 100% interactive program uses systems thinking theory throughout to make it easy to understand the complexity of the issues.

Results You Can Expect

  • People who are totally committed to making a difference to social and environmental responsibility in the organisation and in their own life.
  • Improved relationships with like-minded businesses and clients.

Key Focus Areas

  • Avoiding the 'tragedy of the commons' - how to protect things we share
  • How global problems are interconnected & where the leverage points are to make things right
  • What happened to past societies that ignored the warning signs
  • What people, organizations & countries are doing, & where we fit in

Target Audience

Leaders and employees at all organizational levels.

Time Commitment

This session is typically offered as a 1/2-day workshop.
