Leadership Development

Measurement & Feedback

Measurement and feedback are fundamental to leadership development. In fact, lack of objective measurement is frequently cited as one of the top barriers to developing effective leadership behaviours. This is because individuals and teams can be strongly orientated to revert to familiar behaviours and, without regular feedback, they quickly lose focus and momentum.  Kwela’s programs are strongly grounded in measurement and employ a range of strategies to quantify results for individuals and organizations.

Measure Individual Progress

Put simply - “what gets measured gets done”. Feedback is central to learning and measurement is essential to fostering accountability. Participants in our programs are expected to take action and to share their development goals with colleagues who can provide feedback on a regular basis. We track progress throughout the program using techniques such as our innovative ‘mini-survey’ process which provides feedback that is integral to a participant’s on-going personal development planning.

Measure Overall Outcomes

At an organizational level you need to know if a program meets your objectives and if it is delivering a return on investment. To satisfy these requirements, we begin every program with a set of clearly defined outcomes which we track and quantify using tools such as satisfaction surveys, learning evaluations, behavioural change measures and business metrics like employee engagement and turnover.
